Mr. Attar and his Secretary, Lisa, are extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and efficient. They made the whole kidney stone removal process smooth and allowed me the opportunity to explore different options before committing to surgery. He has spoken to me several times before and after my surgery, making sure I was aware of all of the different options and potential outcomes. Lisa, Mr. Attar, and his medical team at BUPA Cromwell Hospital are very professional and organised. Mr. Attar and Lisa are very personable and incredibly professional. It is clear that the people working with him respect him greatly. Lisa is available at all times and made sure everything worked very smoothly. She is was always willing to help. I can’t recommend them more highly.

I could not recommend Mr Attar or his secretary highly enough.
Mr Attar was prepared, polite, extremely friendly and took the time to understand my full situation, despite his busy schedule. At no point did I feel like I was just another patient being rushed through.
He extensively walked me through my scans and results before explaining, with clarity and sensitivity, his clinical opinion / the course of action required.

Mr. Attar has been impressive.He has made the whole process run very smoothy. He has spoken to me several times before and after my surgery, making sure I was aware of all the different options and potential outcomes. He was amazing in organising an emergency surgery within 2 hours at the Cromwell Hospital (they were amazing). He has followed up with me several times since the surgery making sure all was well and discussing the outcome of the surgery.He is very personable and incredibly professional. It is clear that the people working with him respect and around him respect him tremendously. One last point, his personal assistant (Lisa) is available at all times, makes sure everything works very smoothly and is always willing to help.A great team.

Profile
Hama is a consultant urological surgeon who has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Patient Care for many consecutive years. He is the Head of the Department of Urology/ Clinical Lead for Urological Services at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in Central London. He is also one of the lead urologists at the Cromwell hospitals and the Lead of the London Lithotriptor Unit at the same Hospital. He runs a busy practice both in the NHS and the private sectors.
In addition to general and diagnostic urology (especially prostate and bladder cancers), he has an interest in treating complex kidney stones and kidney urothelial tumours using minimally invasive techniques and laser technology. He also specialises in treating urinary tract strictures using the same approach. Prior to becoming a consultant urologist, he undertook extensive training in Endourology and Stone Surgery at the Institute of Urology at University College London Hospital. He treats patients with kidney stones from both across the UK and internationally.
He is very keen on academic activities and regularly teaches on different urological courses for junior urology trainees and nurses. He has published over 30 scientific papers which he has presented in various international meetings and his work on the subject of vasectomy has contributed to changing practice. He has obtained his Masters degree in urinary incontinence disorders from the University College London. He also spent one year doing his research post in Neuro-Urology at the Spinal Injury Unit at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore where he gained a vast experience in treating various urological conditions such as kidney and bladder stones, bladder overactivity, urinary incontinence, recurrent infections and erectile dysfunction.
He is the training firm lead and a regular examiner for Imperial College medical students at Chelsea and Westminster, Charing Cross and St Mary's hospitals. In his clinical practice, he creates an active team-working environment which translates into providing the best possible quality of care and outcomes for his patients. He leads a super dynamic team of senior and junior urologists, urology advanced nurse practitioners and urology clinical nurse specialists at his NHS base of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
